Zsolt Kun was born on the 26th of May 1973, in Nagyvárad (Oradea), Transylvania. From August 1973 he lived in Miskolc, Hungary, where he started studies. As he often won the local drawing competitions, his career turned towards the fine arts.
He became the member of Diósgyőri Vasas Club of the Fine Arts in 1988. He began his drawing studies under the supervision of László Papp and János Pető painter. He graduated in the drawing department in Ilona Zrínyi High School, Miskolc in 1991. He finished his studies in the Design School in Budapest, 1993. He Spent the next seven-eight years with design and advertising graphics; designing visual images for companies and shops, as well as designing decorations. He was placed third in the category of graphics of the fine arts competition announced by the Ministry of the Interior in 1995.
Within the last years, he became more interested in the fine arts again, especially in painting. The subjects of his paintings are gratly influenced by his journeys in the Mediterranean lands. At the moment he lives and works in Budapest, Hungary.
